A craftsman inspired single family residence set on a rolling, wooded site in a small college town in southeast Missouri. The home sits prominently on the high point of the site rising two levels in front and digging into the site for three levels in the rear. The home is designed to welcome guests from the front door with a simple wood paneled interior with clear views through the home to the wooded exterior in the rear. Attention to detail was a focus for this home. We worked closely with the client and master wood workers to create a beautiful warm interior full of built-in casework, finely detailed stair banisters and exposed ceiling beams.
