While with RNL, Ron Schafer secured and negotiated the opportunity to provide design services for this new residential development, located in the city of Lushun, also known as ‘Port Arthur’. It is set in the local mountains with views of the ocean, on a sloping, southern facing, site surrounded on three sides by a national forest. The development of 150 single family villas and multi-family townhouses, and 750 apartments in 10 mid-rise towers with underground parking, in a park-like environment stresses the idea of living with nature and integrating into the national forest. We have paid special attention to the sensitivity of the national forest by adding green zones, water elements, lush planting, emphasizing the importance of landscape throughout the development. 

Our project will add new life to an existing under utilized site in a region noted for it’s strong tourist industry, it’s natural beauty, and rich, cultural history. Ron Schafer Architects is continuing to provide professional design guidance ensure the design is implemented to international standards.
